Night special (organised by
Farside and sponsored by Arts Council) at the Y Theatre
An evening to
commemorate Scottish poet Robert Burns
Preparations before we begin |
Jan, who has organised the evening, welcomes us all.
This was after John's pipes entrance. During the evening we had plenty of
musical acts, and poetry in the Scots dialect. |
The haggis is piped in. music played by bagpipes player Colin. The event is international, and the address
to the haggis was in English and Russian (thanks Maggie). |
Offshoots. Here you see them with another Chris on
guitar. |
We get our turn! We get to perform the
Scots side to our repertoire! |
We were shown some dances with Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.
Then we finished by singing Auld Lang Syne. |
